About the role:

Gatara AI is seeking talented and experienced Backend Developers to join our team and support the development, scaling, and maintenance of our cutting-edge AI systems. By joining our backend team, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking AI technologies and contribute to building scalable, and efficient backend systems that power our innovative SaaS products and AI automation services. Your work will directly support Gatara AI’s mission to simplify AI for everyone, making it accessible and transformative for businesses and individuals alike.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Build scalable APIs and backend services using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Optimize performance with caching (Redis) and async task queues (Celery).
  • Set technical strategy and oversee development of high scale, reliable infrastructure systems.
  • Develop systems for real-time AI workflows.
  • Ensure efficient database operations with PostgreSQL and handle large data effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in Django, Django REST Framework, and async programming.
  • Is obsessed with distributed systems at scale, infrastructure reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Celery, Redis, and database optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with AI workflows or a passion for integrating AI into backend systems.

As a startup AI company, we are currently in the early stages of our journey and have not yet generated revenue. This means that, at this time, we are unable to offer a salary or regular payments to our team members. By joining us, you will be investing in the future of the company, just as our CEO and founder are doing.
